NBRA HISTORY
On November 3, 2001 the name, NATIONAL BOAT RACING ASSOCIATION, was proclaimed and will remain in our hearts, that for kneel down boat racers across the waters of this nation, that we still have the rights as mature adults, not to have the wishes of others crammed up our exhaust pipes.
In Kansas City, Mo. on this day in a small room with 35 people wishing to put fun back into boat racing, a new organization was formed. Officers were elected, a race schedule prepared, a new motor was adopted(Tohatsu M50D2) and class structure was developed with 15 classes. All of this and much more was done with harmonious decisions by racers representing Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Texas.
IS THIS A GREAT ORGANIZATION TO BELONG TO OR WHAT?

INSPECTION 1.Identify engine and which group of inspections applies. 2. Measure cylinder bore and stroke. 3. Inspect reed port openings. 4. Check lower unit "R" Dimension. MODIFICATIONS The extreme differences in configuration and displacement size of these engines makes it necessary to impose certain rules, so as to control the potential horsepower of each engine. The engine block selected, determines which Group it falls under for modifications and specifications. NOTES: 1. There are no restrictions on intake air scoops or length tuning of intake and exhaust systems. 2. No supercharges, turbo chargers, or other similar mechanical devices are allowed. Engines must be normally aspirated. 3. No nitrous oxide or other power boost injection is allowed. See also fuel page 5. 4. Other than the rules and specifications described in this section, there are no technical limitations modifications of Super E engines. There are no specifications or restrictions on porting, reciprocating or rotating parts as long as the bore and stroke stroke criteria are met. 5. Lower units; There are no restrictions except gear housing shall have a minimum "R" Dimension of 1.850 inches. No tractor units. 6. The Racing Commission has the authority to change, disapprove, or approve rules which violate the spirit of this class.
