E_class points It has come to my attention that we have been allowing the Tohatsu D motor to run in the E- class and awarding National points & prizes. The only legal motor allowed in E is the 44 Merc. The Tohatsu is legal in D in stock form & SE in stock or Mod form. the referee at a locaL race can allow the Tohatsu to step up to E but no National points oo prizes will be allowed. Roy Mackey has edited the points total in E class and fowarded them to Doug.

Two ODA boat races coming up in July Dallas City IL.A one day event on Sat July !8 $2000.00 Prize & tow money. Its part of a 200th anniversary celebration . The race is in a backwater of the Missisippi River Very similar to Quincy Bay we all know how good that race water is. Contact Keith Kampen for lodging 314 497 2502. The next race will be at Havana IL. July 25-26, $1600.00 prize & tow money. Race on Sat will have 3: 00 start time as per sponsors request. This should allow for at least 3 hrs. of valuable test time. Start time on Sun will be !2:00 noon,should be done by 4:00 pm. This site produced one of the largest crowds I ever seen at one of our races. People just love it . We had a large media presence last year also. The race site is in downtown Havana in a waterfront park. Paved pits and launching off a large ramp. After the trouble we had on Sat last year with the boat traffic. The coast guard ond river patrol changed tactics on Sun and we got the Sun program done with no problems. They have pledged to do even better this year..
