This is a time of uncertainty.  We are working on three races, but they are very tentative.  It revolves around getting the lake for the event, for the race at Stigler.  The city council must approve, particularly the mayor.  We need to get some movement on the aproval or disaproval, before other events can happen.  We have a good site in Lake Holdenville but money maybe an issue, as the town is small with a small budget.  If Stigler falls through then the RFA money could be allocated to that site.  This would help secure the Holdenville site.  If we get turned down by Holdenville before Stigler makes a decision, it would hurt our chances to get back in on the lake.  We really have just two weekends in July that we are working with.  Yesterday, I spoke to the Grove Chamber President, who said that she would speak with the local casino about five thousand dollar sponsorship for a race here on Grand Lake.  We fit their needs, as they own a motel near the race site that would fit our needs  This site is best raced in the month of July, because of the lake raising and falling during the spring and summer.   If we get the five thousand, I would hope we could find a spot on our calender.  I do not want to hold up these dates too long as I know others maybe signing dates as well.  The Holdenville race was purposed for the weekend of July 7-8.
