It would be good time to post the 2012 race schedule so that people could be making plans for next year. A lot of people need to pick vacation time the first of the year.

OBRA is working on two or three races, the only one that is firm is McAlester, ok on the 23 of june.  Sites that we are working on is Mansfield, Stigler, Grove, and Holdenville, ok.  We like to race every other weekend, but we have three weeks between Rockaway and McAlester.  Do we want to have a race the next weekend after Rockaway?  For us, the temperature is best for us in Ok, not too hot.  We will have travel money for a race during that weekend.  Do we want to race back to back?

We have a weekend of the 7th of July that is open.  Is this a weekend you could support or you going to stay in the backyard and barbecue?

are my eyes deceiving me, or are we trying to run Mansfield and Pineville the same weekend?

Hmmm... Mansfield is a tentative deal and Pineville is locked in, so I guess Mansfield will have to be another time.

Doug, take care of yourself before and after that surgery... take the time required to get it to "take".... just like West Systems, but the "cure time" is longer!

We'll be thinking of you and lifting you and the docs up for a good procedure and quick heal time.

Dan I had pineville down for MAy 5/6 and mansfield May 19/20 something change??

I have a number of races to sign, but OBRA can not put on a race without ODA and others.  I am trying to see if you all will support a race on the june 9th, which would be one week after Rockaway.  We would like the Pineville race on the 12th of May so it didn't conflict with Mansfield.  The race at Mansfield is tentative and thus cancelable.  It's a good race site for an early race.  If Pineville is firm, then we can do Mansfield later in the season.  The 7th of July is open and we could slide Mansfield into that date if you all will come.  WE do not have sigler race secure as of yet, but we have a new site that looks promising.  We have a good sponsor with money, but no one has seen the lake.  The area has been in a drought, but it is raining now and a early race could be good. Visit the site by statilite on mapquest, Lake Holdenville, Holdenville, Ok.  We are looking it to a race here in Grove, but a few hoops have to be jumped thru before we can do this one.  The site is good. 

Mr. Mackey should have the sanction for LSORA's race in Jacksboro, TX for September 28,29,30.  This should be added to the schedule.

NO mansfield race this year so that date of may 19/20 is open, sign a race for that weekend Doc

The Pineville race is May 5 & 6. 

I am working on some races that could be in May, but the wind is a problem here in Oklahoma during that time.

This schedule, run in the OBRA newsletter from Melissa Backward is an accurate portrayal of our secure and tentative race sites and dates at this time. It agrees with those who responded this weekend to my call for updated schedules.

Some changes in the schedule....The Garnet race has been changed to 21-22 of July.  this avoids high wind or rain problems and I understand there will be other events in the Park that weekend.  Vernon will keep us up to date on this annual race.  I am very close in signing a race at Holdenville, but I have to meet with the City Counsel on the 20th of March.  This will be July 7-8.  I hope we get this race because the lake is just the right size.  There are pictures of the lake on the internet, holdenville city offices.  They will have fireworks on the Fourth at the Lake.

Garnett Ks on  July 21-22    inside the Fairgrounds .  There is a riding mower demolition Derby scheduled for the saturday eve . I might sign up for that myself  .    Planning on a Super Race weekend .  Put this one on your schedule . Highpoint Trophy for 2 and 4 cylinder classes. More to come .   ODA will be doing the honors of putting on this race.
