Thanks to everyone who came to Kansas City for the annual NBRA national meeting! It was good to see such a great turnout, and work with folks very interested in keeping our great sport alive and growing! It was wonderful to see all of you there and to get a chance to visit, party and get some work done! Dan O-66

I haven't attended a lot of the annual meetings over the years but did make it to KC and glad that I did. I would like to compliment all who did the planning and work up for the meeting and all that came and made for a great weekend of boat racing without the boats ( except for one boat that appeared ). My congrats to Ken, Dudley and Burt for their lifetime membership anointments. Thanks Dan for your leadership! Thanks to all who attended! What great friendships we have. My best to all. Jack

Well, I have to tell everyone that I am so excited about the upcoming season, I can barely stand still. My introduction to NBRA was 100% positive. Everone I met in Kansas City was welcoming and friendly. Coming most recently from the inboard ranks in APBA, the grass roots, friendly atmosphere was exactly what I had hoped to find. Thank you all so much for making me feel welcome. NOW....LETS GO RACING!!!!! Joe John Schulte

Had a great time, great people, great door prizes, awesome video (thanks Team Mac), but.... Just when I thought the party was over, little did I know that it snuck off with out me! Hmmm, maybe I should read something into that. By the way, who was that Penguin with the cool red tie up there all night with Crumett?

nothing that I purposed passed. I really feel that a video camera start is fair to the drivers. Patsy Ruth and I have proven you can judge and score with fewer people, if you have a camera. Many times the camera will keep drivers from being disqualifed. If you have a large field of boats, it takes allot of judges. The cost of a camera is well within range of most clubs budgets, with the exception of the new Texas club. You can borrow someones camera or find one in a pon shop. In retrospect, maybe I was the wrong person to purpose this modern solution to our unique sport. Maybe we can go to electronic reconigtion as the car racing has been using. That has a much higher price.

We will be racing with a video camera at the OBRA races, and thanks Allen for the positive comment.

Doc I think the camera is a good idea, the only problem with it passing was the wording to make it mandatory. I hope the ODA uses one myself. If I was on the judges stand I would want one. Larry Mac
