NATIONAL BOAT RACING ASSOCIATION

I think it is unfair that you have to attend the National Meeting to recieve the prize money from the Ethanol Challenge Series. I didn't know that was a requirement until Vernon's post a couple of days ago. I will not be able to attend the meeting because I work on Saturdays and used all of my Saturdays off to attend the Ethanol Series races. I don't think I should have to forfeit my part of the prize fund because I cannot attend. I can understand not being able to participate in the drawings, but I spent my money all year just like everyone else to attend these races.

Keith I'm not going to say what is fair or unfair but I got out the NBRA full Throttle paper that had the rules in it and in bold letters it says you have to be present to receive prize money. Your Dad was on the committee.

Does anybody know the total ethanol prize money to be given out. I know each class had to be figured by the formula  that was laid out but what is the total money?

This is by far the best and biggest Awards Banquet (without dinner) ever ! There will be $$$10,000 .00 Dollars given to the Ethanol Contiengency Winners1!st 2nd and 3rd place . There will also be over $$$$ 1000.00 Dollars for prize winners and door prizes ... Really sorry you can't make it Keith . Maybe we can give your money to Art and see if there is a handeling fee .

This is going before the RFA Fund committee to see if there is something that can be done about it. It has to be dealt with by the body which created the rules.

I think this would be a good idea to re think the rule you have to be present to collect the prize money. I would rather people use there vacation to support a boat race than come to the banquet. But I also think people should make a special effort to come to the banquet this year to show support for our sponsors.

Just my opinion!!!! but that would save allot of bitterness that could be detrimental to the orginization down the road.

I agree with Alan. I realize what the intentions were but not thought through. "The road to hell is paved with good intentions".
