I have tried to get the rules straight ever sense we started using the ethanol. Being on the tech committee I suggested that 10% ethanol should be the baseline and go 5% on either side or in other words 5% to 15% would be legal. The best way we have to test for this is with the test tube. For some reason people just wanted to use the digitron number that was tested on local gas. The digitron number doesn't tell you one thing about how much ethanol is present. The next thing I heard was we are going to take a sample from a local station and go 5% either way of that sample. So if the sample tested 7% you could have 2% up to 12%. Now at Garnett Ks. they now say you need to test between 5% and 15%. From what I understand running straight gas is not illegal you just don't get the ethanol series money. Correct me if I am wrong on any point.

"From what I understand running straight gas is not illegal you just don't get the ethanol series money." That's what I was hoping. I'm not concerned about the money. Just don't want to start monkeying around with different gas (or different anything else). If we get to any races it will be only one or two. Not worth it to me to change anything for only one or two races.
