Alright boat racers its time to get ready to race , Rockaway this weekend and two weeks away is the Thunderfest . I have a real quick ????? To OBRA,or Vernon,,When did I volenteer,to score The Garnett Race????? I must have been DRUNK @ Hominey,or maybe you Telepathicly asked... If you did I did not get the message...Butch took it for granted last year I would do all the races.. Do not ,I repeat DO NOT take it for granted... A person likes to be asked..  I was NOT asked... and I have a tendency to get really agravatted when I am taken 4 granted... Ask Jeff.....I will do it this time only..Next time ASK!!!!!

   Not  sure  why  everyone  needs  to  get  mad  or  irritated .  Just  because  Vernon  listed  someone  to  poss  do  a  job  at  the  race ,  does  not  really  mean  your  obligated to  do  it.  Iam  sure  you   were  listed  as  to  past  history of  doing  it - no  harm  -  if  you  don't  want  to  do  it ,  then  just  let  him  know .   I know  of  another  who  is  mad  because  they  were  not  listed  to  do  something  and  felt  left  out.    "communication"  from  both  directions  is  needed   -  but  to  get  upset  is  a  waste  of  energy.   Vernon  is  working  hard to  make  a  perfect  race  for  us  all and  he is  just  listing  what  he  thinks  he  has  covered.  Again,  Iam  sure  he  is  not  taking  anyone  for granted  and is  not  on  purpose  leaving  anyone  out .   SOOOOO,  if  you  want  a  job  in  putting  on  the  race  , or  you  don't  want  to  be assigned ,  just  call  him and  tell  him,  no  need  to  get  mad.

Alright i got to admit i missed a very important phone call,,,,,,,,Call Patsy for permission...  I had that call on my list but due to Dan Crumett being so effecient and getting this newsletter out so fast. (spread the blame around )---- i dropped the ball .   I'll be happy to find someone else to help . Experienced scorekeepers are a rare comodity . You and Sandy are good at your job and we all know it .You're always welcome on the stand .     I wouldn't want to be volunteered for this position even if it payed 100.00 hr .... One thing i will promise all on the stand ----  This is a NO FLY ZONE for anyone not a RACE OFFICIAL.  I will personally tackle you if you don't belong there ..  The judges stand is a very busy place and distractions aren't allowed ....  I challange anyone to work the stand for a couple heats and walk away without brain damage .      All the prior preperations for this race will hopefully keep things rolling smoothly.  Sorry Patsy !!!!!          

I DO HUMBILLY APPOLIGIZE IF ANYONE THOUGHT I WAS MAD.. NOT SO ,JUST A LITTLE AGGRAVATED..As you have been told by me,I am part Irish..I definattly was not Mad.. You see this was done to me all last yr.I was volenteered,for sign up and score keeping..And was not  told till I got to the race site.By the OBRA  pres. Therefore putting me on the spot, because no one else would do it.If Charollette Lewis had not stepped up when she did,I would have been a raveing Lunitic ..Again my appol. I think the search is over for a "top notch" announcer for Garnett... Burnin' Vernon did one heckuva great job announcing at Rockaway... really helped the crowd follow the races and explained what they were seeing. It actually sounded as if he knew what he was talking about!!!

Thank you very much Dan,  Every once in a while i get somehing right .  Really strange being on that side of the event. The whole event rolled along smoothly .    Hope Under Jacks watch things go as well. We're counting on ya Jack

  Vern you did a great job with the mic.  Also Brad Baze did a good job also.  It sure makes the day go bye with a little music in between.

thanks Kevin,It was realy nice having Brad Baze to talk to about tech. stuff on the mic made it more fun...really would like to work with him in the future.8) YOU GUYS PUT ON A GREAT SHOW.

I'll be there along with Jack Stotts. CSH, Jack will have his CMH there, and there is a chance we may have another CSH with us from Texas.

 Mac Attack will be there with D-H&R and E-H&R.  That is getting to be plenty anymore!!

Love to have the guys from Texas come up and race with us .  The More the merrier !!! I have 4 tv stations and at least 6 radio stations lined up for live interviews.  The word is really getting out  !!!!

Sounds like its gonna be big with all the media there , Ya may wanna keep em away from the old guy, he may still be sour after the big fines he recievied after the last race, wouldnt wanna hear him call the a A%%@$$ hole over the air, LOL
