Ice and sleet here. Must be X-mas time, so Happy Holidays to all you boat racers and families. Have just completed two rebuilds on 3-holers , have added dual fuel pump systems to see if that will extend the life of the pistons and cylinders. Will start re - build of the 2 44 Mercs next week. Am planning on installing OMC fuel pumps on the Mercs also. Anyone have any old fuel pumps for sale that are rebuildable with kits?? Merry X-mas from B BURT & Maggie

Burt, no better way to fight the winter blues than to work on boats and motors!
Sunny and 38 here (briefly) got two cars washed and a light hung for the computer. Off 'til after New Year's so there'll be some sanding, body work and hopefully some painting done on the Acme fleet! Now, if I could just get my deposit back from Bass on that Tohatsu!!!! (Vernon needs to pay up, so Sam can get me my money!)
Merry Christmas!

Vernon, he sent me the money just before New Years's Day, so I can't beat up on you any more! Glad you got your order in when you did...I know you'll like it and be very competitive with it. I look forward to watching you run.
The motor I'd ordered is supposed to come in to Sid this month along with two others, so there should be some fodder for him to work on later this month.
Later,

Thanks Dan , we have a new program -- low maintaince racing , is tha an oxymoron ???? I'd like to help promote our sport more . Didn't mind announcing , that was fun .... Open for negotiations ? I really enjoy getting the crowd pumped up . maybe with our full crew i'll have more time to help on race day. Looking forward to running that little jewel in every class. OR at least in DH and SEH till we get it dialed in. I love an engine boat combo that we can run in two classes - lot less work and more fun time .... How's my # 1 fan doing ????

The winter blues got all RED at the ODA banquet last Saturday Feb 14 in Columbia, Mo. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I . Must have had a BALL cause my head was sure foggy the next morning. The buffet breakfast sure helped. Kelly Kidwell had to guide me to the table for the good food . Kelly brought over Kevin's new runabout , went out to look at it in the parking lot. Real fine looking rig, sure would like to have one. If I can sell a SE , I'll order one!!! Back to the banguet--- Thanks again to McAfees for all the planning, organizing etc. Looks like Linda did much of the work with pics and slide presentation. Outstanding job again. That white elephant auction is a real blast, goood place to unload stuff and acquire new. The best (for me) was the coloage of last season pics that Linda assembled and Maggie bought at the auction. You people that did not attend sure missed a blast. I think it started with the Makers Mark that was presented by the club for this Valentine birthday boy. The lid got missplaced which says ya gotta drink it all so it don't spill on the floor. Kevin found the cap later but it didn't stay on long. Se what ya miised Rotten Ralph and Dandy David!! Thanks again, all of you. Sure hope I didn't make too much of an ass of myself. At my age ya got to take advantage of such opportunities when so many good boat racing friends are in the area. Let's all have a good race season so when can have another great ODA meeting and banquet organized by McAffe's in Columbia, Mo.
