There's a winter storm headed into Oklahoma which probably will leave about 6" of snow on Stillwater by Thursday night...so for the second time since 2000 we'll be having a White Christmas! I was out watching the lowering sky tonight and heard a noise, looked up and saw what I thought was a sleigh airborne behind 8 Green Top Mercurys and a V-7 Runabout out in front with a red buoy on its bow!!! Just over the black jacks behind our home the Super Thundersleigh roared in low and behind, a spew of sparks trailed on the gravel of the driveway... And, dashing to the scene, what to my surprise did I find? A brand new -- yet unpainted boat dolly -- with the name of Richard Baze tied to a tag on the axle! There was also a note that dumping the dolly in Oklahoma was probably the best course of action since Richard didn't wind up on the "good" list this year, and something about Oklahoma being far enough away from anywhere he'd never find it anyway!! So, Richard, with the help of a new Lincoln MIG on loan for trial, your boat dolly is taking shape. The front caster, wheels and carpet-skids should go on tomorrow, and the paint will be dry before the first race when you take ownership!!! Merry Christmas!!! Dan O-49 | |
