HI EVERYONE. HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL. SO WHATS GOING ON IN THE BOAT RACING WORLD? ANY EXCITING PROJECTS GOING ON THIS WINTER? THINGS ARE STARTING TO SLOW DOWN AT WORK. EVERYONE IS GETTING THIER BOATS PUT AWAY FOR THE WINTER. LOTS AND LOTS OF WINTERIZING. THIS IS WAY BIGGER THAN WHEN i USED TO WORK FOR MY DAD BACK IN CEDAR RAPIDS. BOATS FROM 10' WITH ELECTRIC MOTORS UP TO 100' BOAT WITH 3 OR 4 DEISEL ENGINES.

SO BACK TO BOAT RACING....WHAT KIND OF SECRET STUFF TO YOU THINK LARRY McAFFEE IS WORKING ON THIS WINTER TO KEEP THE OLD MERCURY'S RUNNING WITH THE TOHATSU'S? WHAT KIND OF NEW STUFF WILL BURT BE TRYING TO HOP UP HIS 3 CYL'S WITH? DO YOU THINK JIMMY WILL HAVE HIS NEW TRAILER READY FOR THE FIRST RACE? WHO'S BUILDING THINGS BIGGER AND BETTER TO BEAT VERNON BARFIELD THIS YEAR?

WELL I AM GETTING MARRIED APRIL 11 HERE IN PHILADELPHIA SO AFTER THIS BIG EXPENSE IS OVER I HOPE I CAN MAKE IT BACK TO THE MIDWEST FOR AT LEAST A WEKEND TO GET TO A RACE.

HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS  AND A SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Hey Doug! April 17/18 is the race in Pineville, La..... a perfect place for honeymoon!!!!

Doug, don't worry about it...I think folks are Christmassing!  I know I have some work to do on boats and motors and it's still sitting undone up in the shop right now.

To stir some interest, however, I'll just throw this out...

Next time you talk with Butch Webb ask him about his new nickname "B.B"....
