Would someone tell me the the length of race courses please?

Short course length?

Long course length?

Average weekend course length?

 

How long was the Stillwater race?

Mark,

 

Jeff Ruth can correct me if I am wrong but I believe the Stillwater course was .83 of a mile in lenght.

 

 

As per the Rules section of this website...

 

"4.RACE COURSES: Race courses shall be measured buoy to buoy. 3/4 mile for short course and 1 mile for long course. Courses for record setting events must be surveyed buy licensed surveyor. Referee has right to reduce number of heats/laps when necessary to complete schedule. Straightaway record course must have 1/8 or 1/4 mile straightaway. "

 

I don't know how stringently this is adhered to or if applies only to nationals.
